The CD-GT1mkII is a portable CD player designed for practising along with recordings. A guitar or microphone plugs directly into the unit, and the player output goes to headphones or to speakers through a line output. Playback can be slowed by up to 50% without changing pitch, and the key can be shifted separately or at the same time.
For learning parts, the Guitar Canceller reduces centre-panned guitar on many discs, with an adjustable cancelling point and range. Monitoring options include mono monitoring of the CD and a split mode that puts the CD on one channel and the input on the other. Loop functions include single, all and seamless in-out loops, and a cue point memory allows a quick start from the cue position. A metronome and a chromatic tuner are also built in.
The input signal can be processed by 57 built-in effects covering distortion, overdrive, clean tones and vocal effects, with five effect memory settings. A footswitch can control cue, flash start, effect selection and search. The unit runs on batteries, with an optional PS-PS5 power supply, and has a stereo mini jack line input.
