The AC iPurifier 2 is a compact plug-in mains conditioner that connects in parallel with an audio or AV system. It uses a third-generation active noise cancellation circuit that detects EMI/RFI on the power line and generates an inverted signal to cancel it. Measured noise reduction is more than 40dB (100x) compared with standard filtering. Because it runs in parallel, it does not sit in the power path to the equipment.
Built-in surge protection withstands up to 22,000A at 1,000V (8/20uS). LED indicators work as a diagnostic aid, flagging wiring, polarity and earthing problems on the mains supply. The design also uses improved circuitry and upgraded capacitors compared with the previous generation.
A 4mm port provides a supplementary earth connection when paired with the Groundhog+ kit, which can help route noise away from the system and reduce hum. The unit accepts 90-265V AC and is sold in US and EU size variants. It ships with a user manual and has a 12-month warranty.
