The FA-06 is the 61-note model of a three-keyboard workstation series. Its sound engine draws on the INTEGRA-7 module, with SuperNATURAL acoustic, synth and drum tones plus PCM synth and drum kits. Two wave expansion slots take additional sound data, and Tone Remain lets tones change without cutting off notes or effect tails. Up to 16 parts can be layered or split in a studio set, which can also send MIDI messages to external gear when it is selected.
A 16-track sequencer supports loop recording and step recording, and songs can be exported to an SDHC card as a stereo mix, multitrack audio or MIDI data. The sampler, based on the SP-404SX, offers 16 pads across 4 banks and plays samples directly from SDHC card. Effects include 16 multi-effects systems, per-part EQ, drum COMP+EQ, chorus, reverb and TFX processing for the whole output, all adjustable with six Sound Modify knobs. D-Beam, arpeggiator, rhythm pattern and chord memory add further performance options.
A USB computer port carries audio and MIDI, so the keyboard works as an audio interface and DAW controller. Other connections are MIDI In/Out, a guitar/mic input, a stereo line input, main and sub outputs, a headphone jack and three pedal jacks.
