Beschreibung
The Mark Vintage Pre is a bass preamp pedal built around a 12AX7/ECC83 tube. Its 4-band EQ has fixed centre frequencies, and a 3-way switch recalls three presets: Flat, Cut (scooped mids with more lows and highs) and Old (reduced highs for a vintage voice). A footswitch-selectable drive section offers two distortion types, with a Drive control for the amount and a Blend control to mix the driven tone with the clean tube signal. A Boost switch adds 6 dB of level.
For recording and PA use, the balanced DI output uses a transformer and has a ground switch. Digital outputs are provided on RCA (transformer-coupled) and TOSLINK, with a sampling rate switch for 44.1, 48 or 96 kHz. A headphone output and an aux input allow practising with a music player, and an FX send/return loop takes other pedals or multi-effects units.
The circuit is true bypass, so the signal is not coloured when the pedal is switched off. It runs from a supplied 12 V DC adapter.
