The 708P is an 8-inch self-powered, bi-amplified reference monitor for music recording, film post-production and broadcast work. It combines dual 250 W amplification, room EQ controls and analog plus AES3 digital inputs for critical monitoring.

The 708P is an active two-way studio monitor built around a 728G low-frequency driver and a 2409H high-frequency compression driver with an annular diaphragm. The woofer uses Differential Drive technology to limit power compression, and the system is described as reaching a frequency range of 35 Hz to 36 kHz. A patented Image Control Waveguide joins the two drivers, giving a wide sweet spot and consistent on- and off-axis response.
Each driver has its own 250 W amplifier. Room EQ controls let the user compensate for the effects of the listening room. The birch plywood enclosure is compact and reinforced for mounting, with top, bottom and rear mounting points and a 4-hole pattern.
Connectivity is one balanced XLR analog input and one XLR AES3 digital input with an XLR pass-through output. The digital input accepts sample rates up to 192 kHz, and internal sample rate converters can be enabled for signals with uncommon rates. The monitor ships with a power cord and a quick setup guide.
