Beschreibung
The American Ultra II Jazz Bass V is a solid-body five-string bass with a select alder body and sculpted rear contours. Its graphite-reinforced quartersawn maple neck has a Modern D profile, an Ultra Satin finish, a 10" to 14" compound-radius fingerboard in ebony or quartersawn maple, rolled edges, medium-jumbo frets, Luminlay side dots and a Graph Tech TUSQ nut. A tapered heel eases access to the upper frets, and the truss rod is adjusted at the headstock.
Two Ultra II Noiseless Vintage Jazz Bass pickups use stacked coils to keep single-coil character without hum. They feed an 18 volt active preamp with an S-1 switch on the volume control for changing between active and passive modes, a passive tone control, a 3-band active EQ and a mini-toggle that selects a 325 Hz or 750 Hz midrange centre.
Hardware includes a 5-saddle adjustable HiMass bridge that can be strung through the body or top-loaded, lightweight fluted-shaft tuners, locking strap buttons and knurled aluminum knobs. It is supplied with the tools for setup and a Deluxe Molded Case. The bass is a passive-capable instrument with an onboard preamp and a standard instrument output.
