The Worm

The Worm is a mono, fully analog modulation effects processor released in 2008. A rotary switch selects one of four effects: wah, phaser, tremolo or vibrato. The wah is described as a modulated type, where an internal oscillator sweeps the filter automatically instead of relying on foot movement.

The Range knob sets how much effect is applied, and the Rate knob sets the modulation speed. A toggle switch changes between Auto and Manual/Exp. In Manual/Exp the internal modulation waveform is disconnected and the Range knob sweeps the effect by hand, or an expression pedal can do it. A status LED blinks at the modulation rate, and the footswitch engages the effect with true bypass switching.

The pedal has a quarter-inch input and output, plus a dedicated jack for an expression pedal or a control voltage generator output. It sits in a compact die-cast chassis and runs from the supplied 24VDC 100mA power adapter, drawing 50mA. The manufacturer lists the model as discontinued in 2024.
