The C9 is a compact digital pedal in the Electro-Harmonix 9 Series that follows the B9. It converts the sound of a guitar or other instrument into nine organ and vintage keyboard voices, with a single Mode knob to pick the patch. Each voice has adjustable elements such as percussive click, modulation, attack and sustain, drawbar setting or high-frequency content.
On the front panel, Dry Volume sets the level of the untreated instrument and Organ Volume sets the level of the organ patch. Mod sets modulation speed, and Click sets the level of percussive click, which is meant to mimic the harmonic percussion on classic B3 and C3 organs. A footswitch toggles between buffered bypass and effect mode, and an LED shows when the effect is on.
The pedal has one input jack and two outputs. The Organ output carries the mix of dry and organ signals, while the Dry output passes the input signal on its own. It is mono and runs from a supplied 9.6VDC, 200mA adapter.
