The RX1202FX V2 is a rack-mount mixer offering eight mic preamps and two stereo line inputs. Each channel has an EQ modelled on British consoles of the 1960s and 1970s. The mic preamps are quoted at 130 dB of dynamic range with a bandwidth from below 10 Hz to above 200 kHz.
A 24-bit multi-effects processor provides 100 presets covering reverb, chorus, flanger, delay, pitch shifter and combined effects. Presets are chosen with the Program selector, with Signal and Clip LEDs for level checking. Mixing is done with 60 mm faders and rotary controls, and a dual 4-segment LED ladder shows the main output level. The headphone output has its own Phones/Control Room level dial, and CD/Tape to Mix and CD/Tape to Ctrl buttons route backing tracks to the mix or to the headphones only.
On the rear panel, the left and right main outputs are on XLR connectors. Stereo 2-Track In and 2-Track Out jacks connect a playback or recording device. A Mon Aux Send feeds floor monitors or a headphone amp, and a Ctrl Out jack feeds studio monitors. USB connectivity is also provided.
