TAC-2
The Zoom TAC-2 is a 2-in/2-out Thunderbolt audio interface for Mac that records and plays back at up to 24-bit/192 kHz. It is bus powered and aimed at home-studio and mobile recording, with two mic/line inputs, a Hi-Z guitar input and a single-knob interface.

The TAC-2 is a compact two-channel audio interface that connects to Thunderbolt-equipped Macs and runs at sampling rates from 44.1 kHz up to 192 kHz with 24-bit resolution. It uses an asynchronous transfer system that is not affected by computer jitter, and 4x upsampling during A/D and D/A conversion is used to reduce noise.
The front end has two XLR/TRS combo inputs, each with switchable +48V phantom power and Burr Brown mic preamps offering up to 60 dB of gain. Input 1 also has a Hi-Z 1/4" jack for connecting an electric guitar or bass directly. Outputs are two balanced TRS jacks for amplifiers or powered speakers, plus a headphone jack with its own level control.
All operations are handled by one large rotary knob, and 7-position LED meters show input, output and headphone levels. The unit takes its power from the Thunderbolt bus, so no AC adapter is needed. It is compatible with Intel Macs running macOS 10.14 to 13.
