The DDJ-SP1 is designed to sit alongside a main mixing and scratching setup, such as a laptop or timecode CDJs/turntables with a DJM-900SRT mixer. Its pre-mapped controls trigger 6 samples, 8 Hot Cues and more than 30 FX powered by iZotope, so these functions can be played without reaching for a computer.
Dedicated buttons cover Serato DJ Pro functions such as Beat Jump, Slip mode and Quantize. Slip mode keeps a track running silently in the background during loops, scratches or reverses, then returns it to the correct position when the jog wheel is released. A sampler volume fader allows quick level control for finger drumming. Serato Video is also supported for visuals, including effects, transitions, custom images and text.
The unit connects to a PC or Mac over USB and works plug-and-play with Serato DJ Pro. It is also fully MIDI assignable via USB, so it can send control data to external devices, and it unlocks rekordbox performance features when connected to a computer.
