Beschreibung

The REC TO Distortion is a single-effect distortion pedal built around a purely analog circuit. It recreates the tone of a well-known American high-gain preamp from the 1990s, with a focus on heavy distortion and a tight bass response.

The circuit adds extra gain in the higher frequencies for a more forward, aggressive character suited to hard rock and metal. Tone shaping is handled by a passive EQ with bass and high controls. Switching is hardware true bypass, so the signal passes unaltered when the effect is off.

The pedal has a 1M Ohm input impedance and 10K Ohm output impedance, and draws less than 20 mA. It can run from a 9 V DC supply or a 9 V battery. The enclosure measures 121 x 77 x 48 mm and weighs 230 g. Manuals are offered in English, Italian, Japanese and Russian.
