The MB58R CMD 102 PURE is a bass combo built around two 10-inch custom neodymium speakers and a hi-fi tweeter. It is part of the MB58R series, is made in Italy, and weighs 13.6 kg (30 lbs), which keeps it easy to carry. The amplifier section delivers 300 W RMS into 8 ohms on its own, or 500 W RMS into 4 ohms.

The preamp offers gain, a 4-band EQ, an Old School filter, a master volume, a mute switch and a 3-way switch (flat, scooped-mid, FSW). A line-out level control and pre/post EQ and ground switches cover direct recording and PA feeds. A bi-band limiter is built in, and an optional footswitch controls mute and scooped-mid.

The combo can be expanded to a 500 W rig with an MB58R 102 PURE or MB58R 151 PURE extension cabinet. The cabinet is rear-ported, with a 3.5 kHz crossover frequency and a 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response.
