Erica Synths Fusion Box

Fusion Box is an analogue effects unit that uses bucket-brigade delay chips to produce delay, flanger, chorus and vintage-style stereo ensemble effects. In the ensemble mode the processed signal is blended with the dry mono signal in inverted phase on one channel and direct phase on the other, giving a moving stereo character that differs from a standard chorus. Collapsing the output to mono can reduce or remove the effect.

A tube overdrive stage sits in the delay output and the feedback path to thicken the sound. The passive lowpass filter can be set from no filtering to an extreme setting for deep sub-bass tones, and the COLOUR knob sets how dark or open the delayed signal is. Two BBD chips (1024 and 4096 stages) allow short or long delay times, with the noise and lo-fi grit typical of these chips increasing at longer settings and higher feedback.

Input gain is adjustable, so the unit can take guitars, line-level sources such as synthesizers and grooveboxes, and modular signals. A footswitch connector switches the effect on or bypasses it, and an FX send/receive connector is provided for routing.
