Beschreibung

The Hot Tubes is a tube-powered distortion pedal built around a paracyclic filter. This filter lets it cover a wide range of sounds, from warm overdrive and Big Muff-style sustain to heavy metal distortion. Electro-Harmonix produced it until 2009.

Two 12AX7WB vacuum tubes are supplied with the pedal. They are driven to maximum voltage by a toroidal transformer that is fed from an external AC adapter. Fitting Electro-Harmonix 12AX7 tubes in their place is suggested as a way to get more gain.

Bypassing is true bypass, switched by a mechanical relay. Power comes from the included 12AC-1000 supply. An owner's manual is available as a download from the maker.
