Amiron home is an open-back, circumaural headphone built around the maker's Tesla driver technology. A stronger magnetic field than in standard headphones is used to convert the signal, and transducer changes are said to reduce unwanted vibration and remove treble resonances. It is Hi-Res Audio certified and built in Germany.
The open design gives a wide, three-dimensional presentation with controlled bass, transparent mids and clear highs, which suits a broad range of music styles. Earpads are microvelours and the cups sit around the ears. The headphone weighs 340 g without cable.
It is a wired model with a 250 ohm nominal impedance. A 3 m detachable cable can be fitted on either side, ends in a gold-plated 3.5 mm stereo mini jack and comes with a 6.35 mm adapter. Balanced and textile replacement cables are listed as accessories.
