FLOW 4V combines a 10-channel digital mixer with a 10-track recorder. It can record up to 8 isolated input tracks and a stereo mix at the same time, either to the onboard SD card or to a computer. Four dual-gain mic preamps with dual-stage A/D converters give a stated 142 dB dynamic range and 32-bit recording. Built-in filters, EQ, dynamics and AutoMix handle on-set balancing, with AutoMix sharing gain across active microphones.
For camera work, the unit can send, receive or jam SMPTE timecode, and recording start/stop can follow the camera over HDMI. When recording to SD, it can also write an automatic backup copy to a USB drive after each take. As a USB audio interface it offers 12 input channels and 2 outputs.
Operation is through a high-contrast touchscreen, with knobs and buttons for every function, plus a Bluetooth remote control app. Power comes from two recessed, hot-swappable USB-C ports that accept any USB-PD source, including power banks; a compatible supply is included and there is no built-in battery. The StageConnect port links the optional FLOW 4VIO expander, which adds four mic preamps and two headphone outputs over one cable. The optional FLOW 4BAG carrying bag has a magnetic transparent cover.
