Wall-mountable 16-input, 4-output audio expander that adds remote I/O to dLive, Avantis or SQ mixers and AHM matrix processors. It suits fixed installs and stage points where stage boxes need to sit far from the mixer.

The DX164-W provides sixteen mic preamps and four line outputs in a wall-mount enclosure. Each preamp offers up to 60 dB of gain, a -20 dB pad for line-level sources and a phantom power indicator. The four outputs are balanced XLR line outs with relay protection. Audio runs at 96 kHz.
It links to the host over a single Cat5e cable and can sit up to 100 m from the mixer. A secure EtherCon port handles the connection to the mixer or an upstream DX expander, and a second locking EtherCon port is used either for a redundant link to compatible hardware or to daisy-chain a downstream expander. In cascade mode up to two DX expanders can be chained on each DX port.
No setup is needed: it is detected when connected, and the mixer takes care of firmware updates. A reversible mounting frame allows in-wall or on-wall fitting, and custom brackets allow a standard NEMA box or a floor pocket. For fixed installs the IEC mains inlet can be swapped for a gland module with screw terminals, and a 12 V DC backup input is included.
